- Đề tài nghiên cứu được phép đổi tên thành: "Ảnh hưởng của xếp hạng đại học đến hoạt động nghiên cứu khoa học của giảng viên tại các cơ sở giáo dục đại học ở Việt Nam" tại Quyết định số 356/QĐ-ĐHGD ngày 11/3/2022 của Hiệu trưởng Trường Đại học Giáo dục, Đại học Quốc gia Hà Nội.
- Quá trình đào tạo, nghiên cứu sinh được gia hạn thời gian đào tạo 02 năm theo các quyết định: Quyết định số 2020/QĐ-ĐHGD ngày 03/11/2022 về việc cho phép nghiên cứu sinh khoá QH-2019-S (đợt 2) được kéo dài thời gian học tập lần 1 và Quyết định Số 2151/QĐ-ĐHGD ngày 10/11/2023 về việc cho phép nghiên cứu sinh khoá QH-2019-S (đợt 2) được kéo dài thời gian học tập lần 2.

11. Tóm tắt các kết quả mới của luận án:
- Về lý luận: Luận án góp phần hệ thống hoá các quan điểm cơ bản về XHĐH, NCKH trong GDĐH. Bên cạnh đó, luận án cung cấp các lý thuyết về XHĐH, NCKH và khung lý thuyết về đánh giá mức độ ảnh hưởng của XHĐH đến hoạt động NCKH của GV tại các CSGD ĐH ở Việt Nam. Kết quả nghiên cứu của đề tài góp phần bổ sung, làm rõ hệ thống cơ sở lý luận về XHĐH và NCKH. Ngoài ra, các kết quả của đề tài cũng đóng góp vào danh mục cơ sở lý luận trong việc đánh giá các hoạt động hỗ trợ nâng cao chất lượng cũng như khẳng định vị thế, uy tín của các CSGD ĐH. Đồng thời, đề tài cũng góp phần khẳng định cơ sở khoa học và lợi ích của XHĐH, NCKH, mối quan hệ của hai yếu tố này trong việc điều chỉnh chiến lược để tiếp tục nâng cao chất lượng và thứ hạng của các CSGD ĐH, đáp ứng mục tiêu hội nhập quốc tế trong giáo dục và đào tạo ĐH Việt Nam.
- Về thực tiễn: Luận án xác định được các yếu tố đo lường mức độ ảnh hưởng của XHĐH đến hoạt động NCKH của GV và phát triển được bộ công cụ đo lường sự ảnh hưởng đảm bảo độ tin cậy và độ giá trị. Kết quả nghiên cứu của luận án giúp lãnh đạo các CSGD ĐH, đội ngũ cán bộ, GV xác định được các chỉ số liên quan đến XHĐH, NCKH nhằm đạt được mục tiêu trong việc nâng cao hiệu quả của NCKH và việc tham gia các bảng XHĐH quốc tế uy tín.
Kết quả của luận án sẽ là một trong những căn cứ thực tiễn cho việc nghiên cứu, xây dựng, điều chỉnh kế hoạch chiến lược của CSGD đối với hoạt động XHĐH và NCKH, nhằm nâng cao chất lượng, hiệu quả NCKH và thứ hạng của CSGD ĐH trên các bảng XHĐH quốc tế có uy tín. Kết quả nghiên cứu cũng là cơ sở khoa học để các nghiên cứu liên quan sau này tham khảo.
12. Khả năng ứng dụng trong thực tiễn: Có thể áp dụng ngay bộ công cụ đo lường của luận án để tìm hiểu mức độ ảnh hưởng của XHĐH đến hạot động NCKH của GV.
13. Những hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo:
- Nghiên cứu này xây dựng mô hình và xác định các yếu tố đo lường mức độ ảnh hưởng của XHĐH đến hoạt động NCKH của GV dựa trên việc kế thừa các nghiên cứu trước đây, một số lý thuyết về nhận thức, về quản lý và chu trình PDCA, đồng thời sử dụng phương pháp lấy ý kiến của 12 chuyên gia. Các nghiên cứu sau có thể tiếp tục hoàn thiện bảng hỏi bằng cách phân tích, tìm hiểu sâu các tài liệu, đặc biệt xin thêm ý kiến của đông đảo chuyên gia ở lĩnh vực giáo dục, XHĐH, NCKH.
- Mở rộng việc sử dụng dữ liệu của nheiefu bảng XHĐH uy tín khác trên thế giwois có các CSGD ĐH của Việt Nam tham gia như THE, AWU,...
- Mở rộng phạm vi khảo sát tất cả 242 CSGD ĐH hiện đang hoạt động nhằm tăng tính tổng thể trong nghiên cứu và khái quát kết quả đánh giá giúp đưa ra những kết luận chính xác hơn.
- Các nghiên cứu tiếp theo có thể mở rộng đối tượng khảo sát có liên quan đến CSGD ĐH khi tham gia XHĐH như từ đội ngũ nhân viên của Nhà trường, sinh viên,...
- Nghiên cứu này chỉ khảo sát 639 GV đến từ 15 CSGD ĐH, nghiên cứu tiếp theo có thể tăng thêm số lượng người tham gia đồng thời sử dụng phương pháp chọn mẫu khác như phân tầng, cả khối hay chọn mẫu theo giai đoạn, theo phương pháp xác suất để thu thập thêm thông tin và đảm bảo tính khái quát của kết quả nghiên cứu.
- Các nghiên cứu tiếp theo có thể nghiên cứu thêm các yếu tố trong sự tác động của XHĐH đến hoạt động NCKH của GV.

11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
- Theoretical contributions: The dissertation contributes to systematizing fundamental perspectives on university rankings and scientific research in higher education. In addition, it provides theories on university rankings and scientific research, along with a theoretical framework for assessing the impact of university rankings on the research activities of faculty at higher education institutions in Vietnam. The research findings contribute to further clarifying and supplementing the theoretical foundation regarding university rankings and scientific research. Furthermore, the findings contribute to the theoretical framework for evaluating activities that support the enhancement of quality and affirm the status and reputation of higher education institutions. At the same time, the dissertation reinforces the scientific basis and benefits of university rankings and scientific research, as well as the relationship between these two factors in shaping strategies to continually improve the quality and rankings of higher education institutions, in line with the goal of international integration of higher education in Vietnam.
- Practical contributions: The dissertation identifies factors that measure the impact of university rankings on the research activities of faculty and develops a reliable and valid measurement tool. The research findings help university leaders, administrators, and faculty identify relevant indicators concerning university rankings and scientific research to achieve the goal of enhancing research effectiveness and participating in prestigious international university rankings. The dissertation's results will serve as one of the practical foundations for the study, development, and adjustment of strategic plans regarding university rankings and research activities, aimed at improving research quality, effectiveness, and the rankings of higher education institutions in international university ranking systems. The research outcomes also provide a scientific basis for future related studies to reference.
12. Practical applicability, if any: The measurement tool developed in this dissertation can be immediately applied to examine the impact of university rankings on the research activities of faculty
13. Further research directions, if any:
- This study develops a model and identifies the factors that measure the impact of university rankings on faculty research activities by building on previous studies, incorporating various theories related to perception, management, and the PDCA cycle, while also utilizing expert consultation from 12 specialists. Subsequent research can further refine the questionnaire by conducting in-depth analyses of relevant literature, particularly by gathering additional input from a wider range of experts in the fields of education, university rankings, and scientific research.
- Expanding the use of data from various prestigious global university ranking systems that include Vietnamese higher education institutions, such as THE, AWU, etc.
- Expanding the survey scope to include all 242 higher education institutions currently operating in Vietnam to enhance the comprehensiveness of the research and the generalizability of the findings, thus leading to more accurate conclusions.
- Future studies could broaden the scope to include other relevant stakeholders in higher education institutions participating in university rankings, such as staff and students.
- This study surveyed 639 faculty members from 15 higher education institutions; subsequent research could increase the number of participants and employ other sampling methods such as stratified sampling, cluster sampling, or stage sampling using probabilistic techniques to collect more comprehensive data and ensure the generalizability of the research findings.
- Future research could also explore additional factors influencing the impact of university rankings on faculty research activities.
